Dechuang Chemical TPE R&D Manufacturer! In recent years, it has been widely used in the toy field. Many toys, such as toy tires, toy dolls or doll accessories, various elastic balls, luminous balls, luminous animal dolls, mollusks, yo-yos and simulated fruits, all use TPE materials. TPE materials can not only replace various thermosetting rubbers, silica gel and PVC, but also bring more inspiration to toy designers because of their unique performance, so as to design more novel and diverse toys and improve the products. The following Dechuang Chemical Xiaobian talks about the matters needing attention in making various toys by TPE.
Matters needing attention in making various toys by TPE are as follows:
1. confirm the requirements of environmental testing in export market: the toy industry generally needs EN71-3, some of which meet the latest REACH(SVHC), and some of which require testing PAHs (polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons), nonylphenol (NP), bisphenol A(BPA), phthalates (16P,6P), etc. Environmental testing requirements should be confirmed as the basis for selecting materials.
2. Solubility parameters are similar: in the specific selection, the difference of solubility parameters between resin and TPE should be less than 1.5, so as to ensure their good compatibility.
3. Cracking resistance: For soft toys with low hardness, proper TPE materials and optimized process can effectively prevent and improve shrinkage cracking after processing.
4. Other requirements: Some toy products have high requirements for tensile and tear resistance, while others have good requirements for resilience, etc. In a word, provide suitable TPE materials according to the specific requirements of customers.
Matters needing attention in making various toys by TPE are shared here. At present, there are TPE\TPR\PVC toys on the market, but as early as 2000, EU countries rejected PVC toys. PVC contains plasticizer after all, which has certain health risks!
