What's the difference between TPE and Tpe?

Source:德创化工Time:2019-06-19Hits:3200
Dear Customers Hello, I'm Zhanghuimin. We continue to share knowledge about elastomer TPE/TPR/TPU / TPEE materials today. We all know that elastomer materials are very diverse. So today we share the difference between TPE and TPEE Hare materials. The comparative advantages and disadvantages of the two materials, follow my footsteps and look down ...
First, TPE has the meaning of a generic term for all thermoplastic elastomers, including TPR, TPU, TPV, TPEE, TPO, TPAE, etc.. The Chinese name is Thermo-Plastic Elastomer. Due to problems such as history and usage habits, there is no unified naming of thermoplastic elastomers at home and abroad. Most regions are used to refer to thermoplastic elastomers by the abbreviation TPE. Another argument is that TPE is a general term for thermoplastic elastomers, TPU is a thermoplastic polyurethane, TPV vulcanized thermoplastic elastomer, and TPR is generally considered as a thermoplastic rubber in China, with SBS as the base material.
TPE characteristics: high elasticity, high strength, high back elasticity of rubber, and the characteristics of injectable molding processing, with environmental protection, non-toxic and safe, wide range of hardness, excellent coloring, soft touch, weather resistance, fatigue resistance and temperature resistance, superior processing performance, Without vulcanization, it can be recycled to reduce costs. It can be used for secondary injection molding, bonded with PP, PE, PC, PS, ABS and other matrix materials, and can also be formed separately.
TPEE(thermoplastic polyester elastomer) is a block copolymer containing hard and soft segments of polyester.
TPEE characteristics: having the elasticity of rubber and the strength of engineering plastics; Soft satin gives it elasticity to make it like rubber; Hard segments give it processing properties, making it like plastic; Compared with rubber, it has better processing performance and longer service life; Compared with engineering materials, it also has the characteristics of high strength, while flexibility and dynamic mechanical properties are better. The hardness of TPEE can be from Shaw 30-82D, and its elasticity and strength are between rubber and plastic.
TPEE is mainly used in areas that require shock absorption, impact resistance, flexural resistance, sealing and elasticity, oil resistance, chemical resistance, and sufficient strength. Such as: polymer modification, car parts, high-temperature wire protective sleeve, hydraulic hose, shoe material, transmission belt, rotary molding tire, flexible joint, muffler gear, elevator slide, chemical equipment pipeline valve in the wear and tear wear high and low temperature materials.
To sum up the above, do you have a preliminary understanding of the properties of TPE and TPEE materials! If you don't know more about TPE materials, you can call us anytime. Each material has its own characteristics. If you want to find the right material for your product, Then you can find a professional to your product analysis and advice!
