It is well known that TPE material has good resilience and tear resistance, but occasionally some customers ask me that the finished product made of TPE material after molding is very poor in toughness and will rot when it is pulled. in fact, this problem is very worth discussing. why is the elasticity of TPE particle material very good and the finished product after molding has no toughness? then today we will make the following analysis on this problem, which causes the toughness of TPE material to volatilize, and everyone will look at it in my footsteps ...
TPE products have poor toughness. Common reasons include:
1: TPE material added more filling, resulting in a decrease in tensile properties and flexibility of the material.
2: When 2:TPE material is molded, the added amount of recycled scrap is too large.
3: TPE material substrate has low molecular weight and toughness can not meet high requirements
4: TPE material is too high in molding temperature, material degrades, physical properties decrease, material becomes brittle and toughness is poor
5: TPE material has insufficient molding temperature, insufficient plasticization and poor toughness.
6: The black matrix added in 6:TPE molding is incompatible with the material, which leads to the decomposition of the material performance without toughness.
Resolution:
1. Reduce the proportion of filler.
2. The toughness of nozzle corner materials is poor, and the addition amount is too large, which is easy to reduce the toughness of TPE materials. It is suggested that the addition ratio of nozzle scrap should be below 25%.
3: Use high molecular weight substrate instead.
4. Understand the appropriate molding temperature of TPE materials to be processed. If in doubt, it is recommended to consult the material supplier.
5. Judge whether the molding temperature is low. If the surface gloss of the product is low or even pitted, the molding temperature of the material needs to be increased. The second is to look at the nozzle. If the nozzle surface lacks luster, the plasticizing temperature is low.
