What is polyester fiber material:
Polyester is an important kind of synthetic fiber and is the trade name of polyester fiber in China. What are the characteristics of polyester fiber materials:
1. High strength. The strength of the short fiber is 2.6 ~ 5.7 cN/dtex, and the high-strength fiber is 5.6 ~ 8.0 cN/dtex. Due to its low hygroscopicity, its wet state strength is basically the same as that of the dry state. The impact strength is 4 times higher than nylon and 20 times higher than sticky fiber.
2. Good elasticity. The elasticity is close to wool, and when extended by 5 % to 6 %, it can almost completely recover. The wrinkle resistance is more than other fibers, that is, the fabric is not wrinkled, and the size stability is good. The elastic modulus is 22 ~ 141 cN/dtex, which is 2 ~ 3 times higher than nylon. .. Polyester fabric has a high strength and elastic recovery ability, so it is durable, wrinkle free hot.
3. Heat resistant polyester is made by melting spinning. After forming, the fibers can be heated and melted again, belonging to thermoplastic fibers. Polyester has a higher melting point and a lower specific heat capacity and thermal conductivity, so the thermal resistance and insulation of polyester fibers are higher. It's the best synthetic fiber.
4. Good thermoplastic, poor anti-melt. Due to the smooth surface of polyester and the tight arrangement of internal molecules, polyester is the best heat-resistant fabric in synthetic fiber fabrics. It has thermoplastic properties and can be made into pleated skirts. At the same time, polyester fabric is less resistant to melting, and it is easy to form holes in soot and Mars. Therefore, wear should be avoided as far as possible with cigarette butts, sparks and other contact.
5. Good wear resistance. The wear resistance is second only to the best wear resistance nylon, better than other natural fibers and synthetic fibers.
6. Good light resistance. The light resistance is second only to acrylic fiber. Polyester fabrics have better light resistance than acrylic fabrics, except that they are worse than natural fiber fabrics. In particular, the sun resistance behind the glass is very good, almost comparable to acrylic.
7. Resistance to corrosion. It is resistant to bleach, oxidants, hydrocarbons, ketones, petroleum products and inorganic acids. It is resistant to dilute alkali and is not afraid of mildew, but hot alkali can decompose it. There is also a strong anti-acid alkaline, anti-ultraviolet ability
8. Poor dyeing, but good color fastness, not easy to fade. Because there is no specific staining group on the polyester molecular chain and the polarity is small, dyeing is more difficult and easy to dye, and dye molecules are not easy to enter the fiber.
9. Poor hygroscopicity, wearing a sultry feeling, and easy to carry static electricity, dust, affect the beauty and comfort. However, it is easy to dry after washing, and the wet strength does not drop almost, does not deform, and has good washable performance.
