TPE for encapsulation, the choice of specific brand, is related to the type of hard plastic and the functional requirements of the product. The main advantages of TPE sealant are soft and comfortable hand feeling, vibration damping effect, excellent grease resistance, excellent adhesion with various materials and anti-skid handle suitable for dry and humid environment.
The products are covered with electrical appliances, racket handles, gardening tools, screw handles, knife and scissors handles, putty handles, electric drills, electric hammers, electric saws, luggage handles, etc. TPE/TPR coating materials are natural color-black-transparent. The hardness of the coating materials produced by our factory ranges from 45-90 degrees, and there are two kinds of false-true coating materials. They are environment-friendly and nontoxic, and do not contain heavy metals and polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbon compounds. The products have good handfeel and mainly increase the comfort, safety, durability and aesthetics of the products.
1. Hardness of rubber coating. Hardness is determined by product application requirements. Usually, the hardness standard needs to be provided by the customer. The customer can provide the required physical parameters of TPE rubber coating or directly provide OK product sample as the standard for confirming hardness. The hardness of TPE rubber coating ranges from Shore A 10 to 90 degrees.

According to the type of hard materials covered, it is determined that the types of hard plastics to be covered by TPE are different, and the formula and model of the corresponding matching TPE covering materials are also different. For example, PS, PP, ABS, nylon. The types and physical properties of TPE covering materials used are different. Therefore, it is necessary to confirm the types of hard plastics with the user before selecting the appropriate type of TPE covering materials.
3. Customers should be informed of the functional requirements of TPE for product encapsulation, such as detailed understanding of TPE's resilience, tensile strength, surface abrasion resistance and scratch resistance, hand feeling & brightness & dirt resistance of TPE encapsulation surface, whether the encapsulation surface needs subsequent processing (e.g. oil injection, printing, etc.), aging resistance and yellowing resistance, and environmental protection testing requirements. In this way, TPE suppliers can give specific TPE sealant grades or provide customized special formulations according to different requirements of customers. After determining the above material requirements or standards, basically the TPE sealant provided by the suppliers can meet the corresponding requirements of users. However, during actual processing, a series of product processing defects, such as poor adhesion, split seams, water lines, sealant deformation, bonding lines, etc., may occur because some parameters (such as injection temperature, injection pressure, mold temperature, clamping force) during processing are not adjusted to the optimal values. These defects can be eliminated or reduced by adjusting the processing parameters, and can also be communicated with our company in order to make adjustments in terms of raw materials.
