The molding temperature of TPE raw materials, TPE is a series of heat-dependent elastomers, which can be directly injection molded, extruded, poured and blow molded without vulcanization. Appropriate molding temperature can effectively improve the appearance and performance of products. What temperature you use depends on what kind of TPE material you choose. SBS and SEBS are two kinds of base materials of TPE material. In the process of injection molding, the higher the hardness of the same base material, the higher the injection temperature will be correspondingly increased. The temperature should be adjusted at a level of 5-10 degrees instead of too great a difference in amplitude. The forming temperature of SEBS of TPE material substrate with the same hardness is higher than that of SBS substrate. SEBS is saturated SBS, or hydrogenated SBS, prepared by hydrogenating special linear SBS to saturate double bonds. Its aging resistance and temperature resistance are better than SBS, so the forming temperature is higher. TPE materials using SEBS substrate are also divided into high molecular weight and low molecular weight. The fluidity of TPE has a direct influence on the molecular weight and the molding temperature accordingly. The higher the molecular weight, the higher the molding temperature. If a SEBS substrate has a TPE material forming temperature of 190 degrees, while a TPE material made of high molecular weight SEBS has a forming temperature of 210 degrees or even 230 degrees. Hardness affects injection molding temperature. TPE materials are blended with SEBS and rubber oil. When the proportion of oil reaches 3 times or more, the hardness of TPE materials is 0 degree, which is also called ultra-soft TPE. The molding temperature of this type of TPE materials is relatively low and normal. The molding temperature of common TPE materials is between 160 and 220 degrees. The influence of application field on forming temperature, we usually use the extrusion grade of pulling tube between 200 and 230 degrees, the material is completely plasticized, and there are obvious differences on stretching and springback. TPE materials have relatively more molding temperatures in the encapsulation field, such as encapsulation PC and encapsulation PA (nylon), with injection molding temperatures as high as 230-250 degrees, depending on product structure and molding equipment size.
