Generally, the hardness of TPE encapsulated PS material is between 30-70A and the specific gravity is between 0.90-1.3g/cm3. TPE encapsulated PS material is obtained by secondary injection molding, fixing the injected PS hard plastic product on the encapsulating mold, then injecting TPE material to the surface of the hard plastic product at a proper temperature, and cooling to obtain the product. The injection temperature of overmolding is different according to the hard rubber material. For two materials with similar polarity, only when the temperature reaches a certain level can the two materials reach a certain compatibility at the contact surface. Generally, the injection temperature of TPE encapsulated PS material is about 160-190℃, and that of encapsulated ABS material is about 180-220℃. The temperature of encapsulated PC material is about 180-220℃. PA-coated nylon material is about 220-250℃. It is recommended to open two-color mold for products with large coating area, which can improve the coating effect.
