The density of TPE materials can be divided into filler and non-filler. TPE material is formed by mixing elastomer particles such as SEBS or SBS. Therefore, the higher the density of TPE, the more fillers. TPE material consists of imported raw materials and domestic raw materials. Different from the density of domestic raw materials, the normal density is between 0.92 and 0.98. So what physical properties will TPE material density determine? TPE material density determines the following physical properties of products: 1. The lower the density, the higher the content of SEBS/SBS main binder and the better its performance, so the less dense TPE material is more expensive. 2. The density of TPE material can be adjusted from 0.84 to 2.0. Generally, the specific gravity of TPE and TPR soft materials used for injection molding is about 0.9 to 1.25, while the specific gravity of some special TPE and TPR is small or super high. Increasing the specific gravity can reduce the product cost, but the tensile strength, elasticity and wear resistance of the material will all decrease. 3. TPE raw materials are elastomer particles blended by SEBS substrate and other mixtures. The higher the density, the more fillers, and the less SEBS raw materials are used, so the price is cheap. In the market, there are even materials as low as 10 yuan /KG. Cheap materials may not achieve the effect of your products. Please be careful when choosing. It is recommended to consult a powerful TPE manufacturer. 4. In the same TPE\TPR compounding system, the greater the specific gravity, the smaller the shrinkage of the material. The higher the specific gravity, the lower the tensile strength, wear resistance coefficient, elasticity, surface glossiness and molding stability of the product. The higher the specific gravity, the less the number of products produced. Manufacturers of TPE materials suggest that customers with high product requirements should choose transparent TPE materials as much as possible. All the physical properties of TPE can be randomly allocated according to product requirements. Hardness range 0-100A, elongation at break 100-1500%.
