First of all, TPE has such a meaning that it is the general designation of all thermoplastic elastomers, including TPR, TPU, TPV, TPE, TPO, TPAE, etc. It's all called Thermo-Plastic Elastomer in Chinese. Due to problems of history and usage habits, there is no uniform nomenclature for thermoplastic elastomers at home and abroad at present. Most regions are commonly referred to thermoplastic elastomers with the English abbreviation TPE. Another argument is that TPE is a general term for thermoplastic elastomers, TPU is thermoplastic polyurethane, TPV vulcanizes thermoplastic elastomers, TPR is generally considered as thermoplastic rubber in China, and SBS is used as the base material. TPE features: high elasticity, high strength, high resilience of rubber, injection molding, environmental protection, innocuity, safety, wide range of hardness, excellent coloring, soft touch, weather resistance, fatigue resistance and temperature resistance, superior processing performance, no need of vulcanization, recycling, cost reduction, secondary injection molding, coating and bonding with PP, PE, PC, PS, ABS and other matrix materials, or molding alone. TPEE (thermoplastic polyester elastomer) is a block copolymer containing polyester hard segments and polyether soft segments TPEE characteristics: rubber elasticity and strength of engineering plastics; Satin gives it elasticity and makes it like rubber; The hard segment gives it processability, making it look like plastic; Compared with rubber, it has better processability and longer service life. Compared with engineering materials, it also has the characteristics of high strength and better flexibility and dynamic mechanical properties. The hardness of TPEE can range from Shore 30-82D, and its elasticity and strength are between rubber and plastic. TPEE is mainly used in fields requiring shock absorption, impact resistance, bending resistance, sealing and elasticity, oil resistance, chemical resistance and sufficient strength. For example, polymer modification, automobile parts, high-speed rail gaskets, high-temperature and low-temperature resistant wire sheaths, hydraulic hoses, shoe materials, transmission belts, rotational moulding tires, flexible coupling joints, silencing gears, elevator slideways, corrosion-resistant and wear-resistant high-temperature and low-temperature resistant materials in chemical equipment pipeline valves, etc. Thermoplastic Polyester Elastomer (TPEE) is an engineering plastic material developed by CCP after years of investment in a large amount of manpower and material resources. TPEE with the best quality and lower cost is produced by CCP's own technology to be used in the industry. Starting in 2017, all production capacity will be OEM and branded for DuPont, which will be marketed by DuPont Bexloy. The Chinese name of TPEE (thermoplastic polyester elastomer) is thermoplastic polyester elastomer, and the chemical formula can be expressed as follows: it is formed by copolymerization and condensation of 1,4- butanediol (1,4-Butylene glycol) and Polytetra-methylene glycol with terephthalic acid (DMT) or terephthalic acid (PTA), and it can be made into thermoplastic polyester elastomer composite materials through a mixing process. TPEE has many excellent characteristics and is widely used in electrical appliances, information and automobile industries. TPEE features ◆ Excellent heat resistance, Vicat softening point 120-200℃, the best heat resistance among TPE. ◆ Excellent flexibility at low temperature and cold resistance to -54℃. ◆ Good mechanical strength and strong and tough properties. ◆ Excellent buckling fatigue resistance. ◆ Rapid crystallization and easy molding. ◆ Excellent oil resistance and chemical resistance. ◆ Low water absorption and good dimensional stability. ◆ Low friction coefficient and wear resistance.
