By adding antistatic additives, the surface resistance of the TPE material can be adjusted to a suitable range to increase the antistatics of the TPE product.

Antistatic agents generally have the characteristics of surfactants, structural polar groups and Non-Polar groups. The internal mixing antistatic agent refers to a class of antistatic agent added to the resin during the processing of the product. This kind is mainly non-ionic and polymer permanent antistatic agents, and the yin and cation types can also be added and used in some varieties. Various antistatic agent molecules can give a certain degree of lubrication to the surface of polymer materials, reduce friction coefficient, inhibit and reduce electrostatic charge generation.
TPE antistatic materials generally refer to the addition of 0.5 % -2 % of non-ionic antistatic agents to the TPE raw material mixture. After the product is made into a product, the antistatic agent will migrate to the surface of the product, thereby absorbing the moisture in the air, so that the surface resistance of the product reaches 10-10 times to achieve antistatic effect. The migration process of antistatic agents can be maintained for about 3 to 6 months, and its antistatic effect is generally about half a year. Of course, it can also increase the timeliness by increasing the amount of its antistatic agent, but in this case, the surface of the product will produce frosting(whitening). This is also the biggest defect in the promotion of antistatic agents in the TPE industry.
