Silica gel is a cross-linked material. TPE is thermoplastic. No matter how elastic TPE is, there is stress relaxation. For products with hardness lower than 35 degrees, if TPE is used instead of silica gel, the surface dryness of the products should be considered. TPE30 is less than 30 degrees and dry than silica gel. As far as the current industry technology is concerned, it may not be suitable for some beauty and skin care devices! For TPE replacing silica gel, the above are some major problems. But in more cases, TPE can replace silica gel. The cost is relatively low, and the materials can be recycled repeatedly.
